The Hyde County Library is open Monday, noon to 5:00 pm. They have an awesome selection of both adult & juvenile fiction and non-fiction books with many new book titles. Large print books and books on tape for the vision impaired area available. They have 29 different magazines to choose from. The library takes part in the Share-It program, which allows them to order books they don't have from a loaning library. The library has Highmore Herald newspapers from 1929 to present and the Hisodak years 1917 - 2017 for research purposes. They have 2 computers and printers available for public use with WiFi. Their summer reading program begins the first week in June for preschool through 6th grade. As part of the reading program, they hold a story hour program and craft programs.
