The Highmore Civic and Commerce is a community organization that works to develop, promote and exchange marketing and promotional ideas among members. Plus, it encourages an active interest and participation to promote public interest, understanding and goodwill in the Highmore area.

What we do

• Host educational speakers.

• Sponsor this website.

• Provide Highmore dollars: Available for purchase at the Highmore Herald.

• Promote businesses and upcoming events on our Facebook page.

• Support the following community events: annual community Easter egg hunt, Old Settlers' Days, city-wide rummage sale, the Sunflower Festival, community Halloween event, the Christmas Stroll and more.

• Assist in raising funds for various projects for the community such as providing supplies and equipment for the auditorium.

• Meet the third Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m in the east wing of Hyde County Memorial Auditorium (members will be notified of any location or time changes).

 

Who can join

• Any business or individual, who is interested in Highmore is encouraged to join.

• Annual membership is $100 per business or individual. Your membership includes promotion (such as a listing in our online business directory), access to educational speakers, meals at the meetings and a great opportunity to give back to and get involved with our community. If you choose not to be a member, you can still be listed in the online business directory for a $20.00 annual fee.
