Sunflower Festival

Hosted annually by Highmore Area Council of the Arts, the Sunflower Festival provides an opportunity to see and learn about the production of the bright yellow sunflower blooms in central South Dakota when they're at their most beautiful state.

The festival features art and craft vendors, hayrides, local talent and live music, as well as the opportunity for guided and self guided visits to sunflower fields in the rural area around Highmore.
The 2026 festival will be held on August 15. We are looking to grow our list of arts and craft vendors! We welcome vendors and musical talent to register for the 2026 festival. Reach out to Beth Simonson 605-478-0123.
